What if Proton introduced a new compact SUV to fill in the void created by the end of sales for the Exora? That’s the question posed by Theophilus Chin, who came up with renders of just what such a model could look like.
The Exora has long been a popular MPV in the C segment, but Last October, the MPV production ceased.. Some people consider the X90 to be an indirect replacement for the Exora. Does that leave room for a smaller, more compact MPV that could compete with the Perodua Alza, perhaps?
Theo calls his vision of a compact Proton-MPV the M70. The M70 combines the body and chassis of a third-generation Volkswagen TouranWith the design elements and the surfacing of the S70 sedan. What do you think about his work? Does it look visually pleasing?
The Exora is 4,615 mm in length and 1,809mm wide, making it slightly larger than the donor Touran which is 4,527mm and 1,829mm. Both MPVs are larger than the current Alza, which is 4,425mm long and 1,730mm wide.
Proton is yet to confirm if the Exora model will be produced for another generation. It was rumoured earlier that the Geely JiajiThere has been no confirmation that this will happen. Should Proton abandon its Exora model and introduce a smaller compact MPV instead?
